An Introduction to Philosophy (RLL style) Week 02 – Logic Part 2: Are you kidding me?

Dear Modus Ponens,

You sly old friend, welcome to our week of building arguments that actually hold water. You see, most folks think an argument is just a fancy word for a loud disagreement. But you and I know the truth: an argument is more like a well-built bridge. It’s a structure made of premises leading to a conclusion, a little logical architecture that turns a mere opinion into something that can stand on its own two legs.

Think of each premise as a step on that bridge and the conclusion as the place you’re trying to reach. The fun part? You can build these bridges to test your own beliefs, to see which ones stand strong and which ones need a little reinforcement.

So here’s our question for you: What’s one belief you’d be curious to try building an argument for, just to see if it stands tall? Let’s lay down the logical planks and see where they lead us.

With a wink and a premise,
