“In Memoriam: A Memorial Day Advent Series” – Part One: Introduction…An Invitation to remember…

Memorial Day – this day calls us to pause. A moment to remember the ones we’ve lost: the faces, the voices, the presences that shaped us. Those we love. Those we miss. Those whose impact remains woven into the fabric of our lives, long after they’re gone.

This is a day to honor the lost. To dedicate time, however small, to pay tribute. And so, in that spirit, we offer this “Memorial Day Advent Series.” Letters of loss, stories of what once was, of what has shaped our journey.

These losses don’t always come with a certificate – no formal record of birth or death. But their weight on our hearts is undeniable, their imprint on our lives unshakable. These are the losses that are etched not in stone, but in the quiet moments when we feel their absence the most.

For the remainder of May, we will share these letters. Each one is a tribute, a reflection of what we’ve lost – personal, yet universal. We invite you to join us. Add your voice, share your own story, and honor a loss that still matters. Write a note, a tribute, a memory in the comments.

Mourning with you,
