A Letter to the World We’ll Never See

Dear 2126,

We are writing to you from a world you might only know as ancient history.

As we stand here in 2025, looking a hundred years into our future and imagining you,
we are filled with a sense of awe and humility.

We know that by the time you read this,
our world will be a distant memory,
and the challenges we face now
will have become the lessons of your history books.

We want you to know this:

We faced times of uncertainty, upheaval, and transformation.
We wrote letters to the past and the future, trying to make sense of the loops of history and find hope in the patterns.
We tried to learn from those who came before us, and we tried to leave a legacy that would help guide you.

We don’t know what your world looks like.
We don’t know if you’ve solved the problems we struggled with, or if you’ve found new challenges we can’t even imagine.

But we do know this: every generation has the power to shape its own destiny.
Every era of darkness can be the soil from which new light grows.

So here’s our message to you, 2126:

May you look back on us not with pity, but with understanding.
May you see our struggles as the seeds of your triumphs, and our hopes as the foundation of your reality.
May you carry forward the lessons of the past and build a world that is more just, more compassionate, and more filled with wonder than we could ever dream.

We believe in you, even though we will never meet you. We send this letter across a century as a testament of faith in the enduring spirit of humanity.

May your world be beautiful, and may you write letters to your own future with the same hope we send to you.

With love and solidarity,
— The Radical Left
