Dear Santa,
Hi! My name is Radlef and I’m six years old. I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want this year, and I know there are lots of toys and games and things that people want, but this year, I want something different. I want something that will help everyone, not just me.
I want to ask you for a clean earth.
I want the earth to be happy and healthy again, like it used to be.
I want water that’s clean and clear, so we can swim in it and drink it without getting sick. I want to be able to play in rivers and lakes and oceans and not worry if they’re dirty.
I want the air to be fresh and easy to breathe, like when you wake up in the morning and the sun is just right and the sky is so blue. I don’t want the air to be smelly or full of stuff that makes people and animals sick.
I want the trees to stay tall and strong, and the flowers to keep growing in gardens, not just on paper or in dreams. I want the ground to be safe again, where we can grow food without worrying about it being poisoned.
But more than anything, I want there to be peace. Not just peace between people, but peace between us and everything else on this earth – all the animals, the birds, the fish, the trees, the flowers, the sky, and the dirt.
I want to live in a world where everyone and everything is treated with kindness, and we all help each other.
I know I’m just a kid, but I believe we can make it happen. I believe we can take care of the earth if we all try.
I know I can do my part, and I know my friends will too.
So, Santa, if you could, could you help us? Can you bring us all a little bit of that magic this Christmas? I promise to be good, and I’ll do everything I can to help. I know the world can be better, and I know we can do it together.
Thank you, Santa. I hope this letter finds you and your reindeer well. I’m sending you all lots of love and good wishes!
Love,
~ Radlef – a child of the Radical Left
P.S. I also wouldn’t mind an electric toy train if it’s not too much work. But the clean earth is the most important thing. Please!
