Dear Zombie,
You’re probably nodding along as you read this, aren’t you?
Because, let’s face it, most of our lives are spent in zombie mode. You wake up. You go through the motions. You perform the rituals. You say what you’re supposed to say. You do what’s expected. It’s easy. It’s automatic. No one asks any questions. You don’t even think about what you eat, or what you wear, or how you behave. You just do it.
It’s all programmed. And there’s a reason for that: survival. We’ve been taught how to walk through life, how to navigate the world without thinking too hard about it. It’s how we stay safe, how we get by. The zombie mode works, after all.
But have you ever stopped and thought, “Wait a minute… am I alive, or am I just going through the motions?”
Think about it. Most of our lives, we’re just doing – without even realizing we’re doing. And sure, it’s easy. It’s comfortable. We just let the programming do its thing. But here’s the kicker: That’s the thing. We’re letting someone else – our environment, our society, our DNA – make the decisions for us.
Now, is it really “free will” when you don’t even remember making the decision? Is it freedom when all you’re doing is executing the code, day after day, without questioning it? It’s like a computer running its subroutine, never straying from the script.
But here’s where it gets interesting: Sometimes, the code glitches.
And that glitch… might be the first sign of real freedom.
Maybe that’s what free will is: the glitch. The break in the pattern. The moment you step outside the code, even just for a second, and make a decision that feels yours. Not because you’re following a pre-programmed script. Not because everyone else is doing it. But because you choose to break the rules.
Maybe the glitch is freedom.
So, we ask you, dear reader:
Are you a comfortable zombie?
Are you content with letting the programming run itself while you walk through life in autopilot, living the story that was given to you? Or do you feel that urge to glitch out of the system? To break the code for a moment and do something just because?
If you’re feeling that urge, you’re not alone. The next series is for those who want to glitch. Those who want to stop being zombies and start being alive.
Meet you in the glitch.
