Dear Moral Compass,
We’ve all had that feeling – like there’s a direction we’re supposed to be heading in, even if we can’t always see it on the map. Ethical objectivism is about that search for a true north – a starting point that helps us transcend our own cultural biases and personal whims. It’s the idea that somewhere out there, beyond the noise of shifting norms, there’s a stable point we can navigate by.
So, dear Compass, we’re asking you: how do we find that direction? How do we know when something is truly right or wrong in a way that doesn’t depend on what century we live in or which culture we belong to? Ethical objectivism suggests that there might be universal ethical truths – guiding stars that remain steady even when everything else shifts.
We’re not claiming to have all the answers yet. We’re just starting the journey by asking: what if there’s a moral compass that can help us find our way, no matter where we start?
Let’s see if we can find that first step together.
Still searching for that guiding star,
