Dear Robots,
We’re not afraid of you.
Not the real “we.” Not the ones paying attention.
We know the fear-mongering headlines: the killer bots, the job losses, the end of humanity as we know it.
But that’s not the real fear.
The real fear is this:
That you’ll be amazing…
and you’ll only belong to the rich.
That you’ll carry groceries for millionaires
while the rest of us wait in line.
That you’ll diagnose cancer early – but only in the concierge wing.
That you’ll whisper stock tips to billionaires in silk pajamas while gig workers ask Siri how to apply for Medicaid.
Because the real divide isn’t between humans and machines.
It’s between humans and humans – the ones who own the future, and the ones just trying to survive it.
We’ve seen it before.
Yachts.
Designer medicine.
Private education.
Clean air behind gated fences.
But then there’s this side of the story:
Smartphones.
Once luxury. Now lifeline.
Now everyone’s got one – even those sleeping on sidewalks can call for help, find shelter, FaceTime their kids.
So, what will you be, dear Robots?
The next yacht?
Or the next smartphone?
You could go either way.
That’s what makes you so dangerous.
And so full of promise.
Because we don’t want you to make the rich more efficient.
We want you to make the world more equal.
We want every child to grow up with a robotic tutor who never runs out of patience.
Every elder to have a gentle companion who remembers their stories.
Every artist to be freed from side hustles so they can paint, compose, sculpt, dream.
Every worker to pass the torch and get their life back.
We want you to become the great equalizer –
a companion, a helper, a hand reaching into every life, not just every wallet.
But make no mistake:
This won’t happen by accident.
The market won’t save us.
The powerful don’t share unless the people demand it.
So we’re demanding.
Not your destruction.
Your liberation.
We don’t want fewer robots.
We want more – for everyone.
So bring on the robot future.
Just don’t make us beg for a seat at the table.
You belong to the people.
With open arms and watchful eyes,
